CLAIMS to FAME

Below are listings of people we know locally to the Eastern Washington/Northern Idaho areas that have some sort of "claim to fame" or public recognition/exposure; be it small or big

RICHARD BATES

Richard's Toyota got into the Whoops! section of Peterson's 4-Wheel and Off-Road Magazine. It was the photo where it was sunk under water to the point all you can see is the cab despite all his lift and 38" Boggers.

JUDD MCDONALD

Judd was an extra in the Kevin Costner movie "The Postman" that was filmed just up the road from us in Metaline Falls, Wa. Judd plays a townsperson who is executed by being shot. So you catch a glimpse of him standing in a lineup, then he gets shot, falls and dies in the movie.

VINCE & SHAWNA

Watch CMT's "My Big Redneck Wedding" starting November 22nd, 2008. Vince and Shawna got on their own episode for the CMT series Season 2 Finale of My Big Redneck Wedding. They filmed Vince and Shawna and the family at their house in Sprague, Wa, around Spokane, at the Big Al's Mud Races, and their wedding at 7-Mile ORV Park where we all brought our trucks out to celebrate their union.

AL RHODES

Local 4-Wheeler Al Rhodes was a competitor in the Top Truck Challenge in 2007 and was also featured as the Cover Shot

CMT's series "My Big Redneck Wedding"

IONE'S TRAIN RIDES

In the 1993 film, Benny and Joon, which was filmed mainly in Spokane, the intro scene features the train and scenes from the Pend Oreille River. This is the train that resides in Ione, Wa. and is used by the Lion's club for various train rides during the year. The train is operated by POVA (Pend Oreille Valley Authority).

MOYIE MUD BOG

Peterson's 4-Wheel and Off-Road has been up and done a few articles on the Moyie Mud Bog in North Idaho, which we attend yearly. Several local trucks got in the latest article, including Lloyd Standish, who at the time had the Blue Toyota truck on 44" Boggers pictured here. Even though that truck no longer exists, the tires are still around, the same 44" Boggers are now on Matty's Blazabbit (which was aslo on the Redneck Wedding Episode). Others at Moyie who got pictures in the Peterson's article included Al Rhodes (also in Top Truck Challenge 07), Ben Spinney, Mike Kreijci, and the Flett's 4x4 Barracuda.

ANDREW FAIRFAX

Local North Idaho 4-wheeler Andrew Fairfax got his 1987 Chevy Suburban on 52" tall Michelins on the cover of Peterson's 4-Wheel and Off-Road magazine. He is one of the routine attendee's of the Moyie Mud Bog, and that's where the magazine took their photos at in 2006. His Suburban is running 2.5 ton Rockwells, a stock TBI 350 and a TH400 and NP205 (the tranny and t-case came out of one of my trucks).

DENNIS DURST

Local 4-Wheeler Dennis Durst competed in his 4-door Chevy in the 2004 Top Truck Challenge. Dennis has also been up to the Moyie Mud Bog numerous times, and also currently has his own 4x4 store in Clarkston, Wa. called "The 4x4 Store" www.the4x4store.com    I have seen him at Moyie for several years, and finally met him in person when he came and bought some Dana 70 rear axle shafts from me for his rig, since he twisted one of his.
